Carla ToscanoBack to the printable kit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Carla Toscano is a pen name of Andrea Lana, an independent author based in Perugia, Italy. This page explains what happens to your email address when you ask for the free printable kit at carlatoscanokitchen.com or on any page linked from my books.

Who is responsible for your data

Andrea Lana, writing as Carla Toscano
Perugia, Italy
Email: carla@carlatoscanokitchen.com

Under European data protection law (GDPR), this makes me the "data controller" for your information.

What I collect, and why

When you sign up, I collect one thing: your email address. I use it to send you the printable kit you asked for. After that, I write now and then from my kitchen: a recipe, a cooking note, or news when my next book comes out.

I do not collect names, payment details, or tracking data beyond the standard email statistics described below. I never sell, rent, or share your address with anyone for their own marketing. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts and two animation scripts from Cloudflare's cdnjs; like any web request, those services see your IP address, and none of that information reaches me.

Consent, and how to withdraw it

You sign up by typing your address and pressing "Send my kit". The line right under the button tells you what you will receive. That request is my legal basis for writing to you (GDPR art. 6.1.a).

You can withdraw consent at any moment by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email, or by writing to carla@carlatoscanokitchen.com. Unsubscribing stops all emails at once.

Who processes the data for me

I send emails through MailerLite (MailerLite Limited, Dublin, Ireland), which stores your address on my behalf and provides standard delivery statistics such as opens and clicks. MailerLite acts as a data processor under a GDPR-compliant agreement. You can read their privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Netlify hosts this website and keeps the standard server logs every web host keeps.

How long I keep your address

I keep your address for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, MailerLite marks the address so it can never be emailed again, and I delete it for good on request.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali). If you are in California, you have similar rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. Wherever you live, one email to carla@carlatoscanokitchen.com is enough to exercise any of these rights, and I will answer within 30 days.

The kit is meant for adults. I do not knowingly collect addresses from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the "Last updated" date above changes with it, and subscribers hear about any significant change by email before it takes effect.
